A Former Muslim’s View of the Cross

I had the honor of doing a podcast yesterday for Anna Clement from  Mission OKC . It’s called “A Former Muslim’s View of the Cross.” It’s a part of my testimony, but focuses on how the Cross of Christ is viewed by Muslims and what it means to me today.
A few highlights from the interview:
*Surah 4:157 says “And [for] their saying, “Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah.” And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them. And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him, for certain.”

The Bible says: For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.  ~ 1 Cor 1:18

  2. Ok, Mona, I am SO glad that I made time to listen/watch the YouTube! You are an inspiration. Great testimony!
    Ironically, as I was listening to the podcast, I got a Facebook message from a friend that assists Muslim immigrants in the Houston area (I pray for her ministry). She was telling me about a woman that accepted Christ yesterday. God is working powerfully in the hearts of Muslims today. God is going to use you mightily, Mona.

      How cool to get that message as you were listening! Not surprised… His gigantic body of Christ is most definitely connected.       1. Mona, it gets better. My daughter listened to the podcast this morning and was so encouraged. She recently befriended a Muslim woman she met in the park and had been praying for how to witness to her. She said the podcast helped her so much, especially the part about using the five pillars.
